π§ Outlook Add-In for Users

Signing In
On first use you will be prompted to authenticate:
Click Sign in with Microsoft in the Add-in panel.
A Microsoft login popup will appear. Sign in with your company account.
Once authenticated, the Add-in will remember your session for future use.
Popup blocked? If your browser blocks the login popup, look for a notification bar at the top and click Allow.

Summarize
The Mail tab automatically extracts the key points of the currently open email so you can understand long threads at a glance.
Open an email and launch the Add-in panel.
The Mail tab is selected by default.
Click Summarize now to generate a concise AI summary.
The summary appears below the email subject. Use Show more / Show less to expand or collapse it.
Click the reload icon (βΊ) to regenerate the summary at any time.
Context options (optional):
Note: Summaries are not stored β they are generated on demand each time you open the Add-in for a given email.

Editor β Multiple Draft Variants
The Open Editor button lets you generate multiple AI-written reply drafts, review them side by side, pick your favorite, and insert it directly into your email.
Open a Reply, Forward, or New email window.
Launch the Add-in and switch to the Mail tab.
Click Open Editor in the composer card.
Type an instruction describing the reply you want (e.g. "Decline the meeting politely and suggest next Thursday instead").
Click Submit β the editor will produce multiple draft variants simultaneously.
Browse the variants using the navigation arrows or tabs.
Click Transfer to Outlook on the variant you want to use β it will be inserted into your compose window automatically.
Tips:
Use the tone selector (formal / neutral / casual) to match your communication style.
Click Regenerate to get a fresh set of variants without changing your instruction.
The Editor remembers the context of the original email and any selected text you had highlighted before opening it.

Chat
The Chat tab is a standalone AI assistant built directly into Outlook β it is not connected to the currently open email. Use it as a fast way to ask questions, draft text, or get quick answers without leaving Outlook.
Select the Chat tab in the Add-in panel.
Type your question or instruction in the input field at the bottom, then press Enter or click Send.
The assistant responds in the chat thread above.
Example prompts:
"Summarize the key points of this text."
"Translate the following paragraph to English."
"Write a short professional introduction for a meeting invite."
"What is the difference between CC and BCC in email?"
Features:
Works independently of any open email β no email context is used automatically.
Click the reload icon to start a new conversation.

Search
The Search tab gives you direct access to amber enterprise search without leaving Outlook β it is not related to the currently open email. Use it to quickly find documents, files, or knowledge base articles from any of your connected data sources.
Select the Search tab in the Add-in panel.
Type your search query into the search bar and press Enter.
Results appear in a scrollable list below.
Click any result to open a preview or follow the link to the source document.
Features:
Searches across all connected data sources configured in your amber instance (SharePoint, Teams, Confluence, etc.).
Use the filter chips to narrow results by data source or file type.
Works independently of any open email β no email content is used as context.
