Download amber Browser Extension (Google Chrome & Microsoft Edge)

You can add amber as an extension for your browser. This allows you to open amber in parallel with any website. In the following, you can find out how to install the extension depending on your browser and also get information about additional features.


Note for Microsoft Edge

Before installing the extension in Microsoft Edge, you must first ensure that the appropriate settings are configured so that you can also access the amber Chrome extension via this browser.

1. Click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner of your Edge browser and select Extensions:

2. Click on Manage extensions in the small pop-up window:

3. Make sure that the Allow extensions from other stores option on the left-hand side of the screen is turned on.

4. Download the amber extension via the Chrome Web Store


Adding the Extension

Once you have completed the default settings in Microsoft Edge, the installation process in the Chrome Web Store is the same for both Chrome and Edge.

Simply click on the link at the top of this help page to go directly to the amber extension in the Chrome Web Store.
There, you can install the extension with just two clicks and start using it right away.

Pin the Extension

Once the extension has been added, you can pin it to your browser bar at the top.

To do this, click on the extensions icon at the top of your browser and then on the pushpin icon next to amber. The amber logo will now remain visible and be easier to access.

From now on, the amber side panel can be opened in both browsers either by clicking on the icon at the top or by pressing Alt + S. You must then log in once with your account.
