Integrate TopDesk into amber

With the TopDesk Connector, you integrate your tickets, incidents, and knowledge base content directly into amberSearch – enabling your team to find the right answers faster.


Requirements

To set up the integration, you will need:

Base URI of your TopDesk instance
Example: https://yourcompany.topdesk.net

Username
A user account with read permissions for the relevant areas (e.g. tickets, knowledge base).

Application Password
Created in TopDesk specifically for API access.


Step 1: Create an Application Password

To connect TopDesk with amberSearch, you need an Application Password from TopDesk.

Proceed as follows:

Open the TopDesk developer documentation:

Create an Application Password there for the desired user.

Copy the password – you will need it shortly for amber.

💡 Note: Do not use your regular login password. Always use a dedicated Application Password for integrations.


Step 2: Data transfer

Provide the Base URI, username, and application password to the amberSearch team.
